Whether you want to be a leader at one school or transform an entire school system, you need certain experience and skills. Like leading teams, shaping policies, and researching what works. That’s why the Master’s in Education Policy and Leadership program offers a specialization in either Policy Studies or Teacher Leadership, so you can choose your path to improving the future of education.
The Master’s in Education Policy and Leadership program features:
- A Policy Studies track for those who want to serve as a leader in school districts or other organizations that implement education policies and programs. This track emphasizes leadership, policy, legal, economic, research, data analysis, and performance management skills.
- A Teacher Leadership track for teachers who want to serve within a school to provide instructional support and shape school improvement efforts. This track includes the option to concentrate in literacy, dyslexia/reading specialist, or science/technology/engineering/math.
- A consultancy project where students in both tracks work with an educational organization to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.

Qualifying undergraduate degrees:
4-year undergraduate degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
For students in the Teacher Leadership Track: Teacher of record for a class for one academic year.
